THIS JUST IN - 2 SUSPECTS WANTED FOR SERIOUS CRIME HAVE BEEN APPREHENDED BY CAP IN BRAMLEY FOLLOWING A HIT FROM CAP’S LPR CAMERAS!
July 4, 2019
Earlier this evening, the CAP Command Centre received a hit from one of our network of LPR (License Plate Recognition) cameras and Tactical Units were immediately dispatched.
Soon after, a grey Hyundai Accent with three occupants was identified on Aucamp Street corner Erasmus Street in Bramley. The vehicle was flagged on CAP's database as being linked to a previous case of serious crime. On noticing the Tactical Vehicles, two suspects attempted to flee on foot but were quickly apprehended and have been handed to SAPS.
The suspect motor vehicle with the remaining suspect then fled in the direction of Alexandra. Members of CAP’s Special Intervention Unit are currently searching the area for the remaining suspect.
