Saturday, 18 November, Silvamonte
CAP’s Command Centre received a panic button activation early Saturday morning from a property in Silvamonte, where a suspect was attempting to break into the property. CAP’s Tactical Officers were dispatched to the scene. Upon arrival, the Tactical Officers apprehended the suspect. The suspect was armed with knives. The suspect was handed over to Sandringham SAPS.
Saturday, 18 November, Sandringham
While patrolling the area, CAP’s Tactical Officers were alerted to the theft of newspapers from a store in the vicinity. Tactical Officers reviewed the CCTV footage from the store and identified the suspect involved. The Tactical Officers searched for the suspect and located him on Joseph Street in Highlands North. The suspect was apprehended and the stolen items were returned to the store.
Saturday, 18 November, Morningside
Six suspects were attempting to cut cables along Rivonia Road when they were witnessed by a security guard. The security guard immediately pushed his panic button, alerting CAP’s Command Centre. Tactical Officers were dispatched to the scene. Upon arrival, CAP’s Tactical Officers apprehended four of the suspects. The suspects were handed over to Sandton SAPS.
