Officials from SAPS, JMPD, City of Johannesburg and City Power held a meeting at the CAP Head Office last week. The aim of the meeting was to plan and implement operations in CAP areas as well as strengthen relationships between all relevant Departments. In addition to this, plans to combat cable theft as well as joint security operations across CAP areas were discussed.
Taking back our streets
Joint operations to increase safety in Bryanston and Riverclub have been in full force. SAPS, JMPD, City Parks and City of Johannesburg together with CAP officers cleared an informal settlement on Ballyclare Drive and CAP, SAPS and JMPD carried out road blocks in the area over the weekend. All operations are part of a plan to increase security in the area.
When a Saxonwold community member raised concerns about a building site in the area, CAP jumped into action. Working together with Rosebank Police, CAP carried out a building site raid in order to ensure that the site and its contractors were screened and profiled accordingly. CAP will monitor the site throughout the construction process to ensure the community is protected.
Well done to all involved and thank you for making our streets safer.
