BATTERY THIEVES RUN OUT OF ENERGY – AND GET CAUGHT BY CAP!
During the early hours of the morning, CAP’s Command Centre was alerted to a panic activation from a street guard stationed in the Viewcrest environment. The guard identified two suspects attempting to steal batteries from a telecommunications tower. Tactical Units were immediately dispatched to the scene.
The suspects noticed the units arriving and began fleeing the area. A chase ensued and the suspects were apprehended a few streets away. SAPS were called to the scene and the suspects were arrested. The stolen goods and a spanner used to break into the tower were also recovered.
Well done to all involved and a special congratulations to the street guard for his bravery in alerting the Command Centre to the incident!
CAP will be awarding the guard with a certificate for his efforts. *Identity kept secret in the image for security purposes.
