CAP apprehends five suspects over the Easter Weekend
Attempted Theft – Bramley
On Friday Afternoon, the CAP Control Room received a panic activation from a business in Bramley. A Tactical Unit was quickly dispatched to the scene and it was established that the on-duty security guard had spotted two suspects jumping the wall. Upon arrival, the CAP officers found two suspects in the process of removing equipment from the premises and quickly apprehended them. The stolen goods as well as weapons were recovered from the suspects, who were subsequently handed over to Bramley SAPS.
Proactive Disruption – Gresswold
Whilst another security company was patrolling the Alexandra area in the early hours of Monday morning, they witnessed a suspicious looking individual brandishing a firearm, board a taxi and head towards Gresswold. The officers managed to stop the taxi a short distance later, apprehending the suspect and confiscating the firearm. The suspect was subsequently handed over to Norwood SAPS.
Break-In – Sandown
On Monday morning, whilst on patrol, a CAP Tactical Unit spotted a suspicious vehicle, loaded with various valuables, attempting to leave what appeared to be the scene of a break-in. The CAP Officers immediately proceeded to apprehend two suspects. It was determined that the suspects had lifted the gate of the premises off its rail and broken into the property, stealing valuables. The stolen items and the suspect vehicle were recovered, and the suspects handed over to Sandton SAPS.
