Two armed robbers apprehended after failed robbery attempt!

Last night, while stuck in traffic on Bolton Road in Rosebank, a victim was robbed at gunpoint by two suspects. Shortly thereafter the suspects proceeded to a second victim, also stuck in traffic, but after failing to comply to the robbers’ demands, the victim proceeded to sound his car horn. The suspects fled on foot towards Jan Smuts Avenue.

After witnessing the second incident, a community member contacted CAP’s Control Room and tactical units were swiftly dispatched to the scene of the crime. Upon arrival, CAP tactical officers began searching for the suspects who had fled the scene on foot. With the details relating to the suspects clothing and appearance, CAP officers were able to successfully locate and apprehend both suspects. Both suspects were handed over to SAPS for arrest.

Several stolen items were recovered along with a knife and a plastic toy gun, which were used in the suspects’ robberies.

That’s two more criminals off our streets!
